Stevie WonderStevland Morris (ne Judkins, May 13, 1950), better known as Stevie Wonder is an American musician and singer. He is often recognized as the first to pioneer a wide range of musical genres such as soul, rhythm and blues and gospel, jazz, soul gospel and funk. A virtual one-man band, Wonder's use of synthesizers as well as other electronic instruments in the 1970s reshaped the conventions of R&B. Wonder also contributed to the rise of genres like R&B in the era of albums. His LPs were consistent and cohesive as well as socially conscious statements with complex compositions. Blind since the day of the birth of his son, Wonder was a child prodigy. He signed with Motown's Tamla label at 11 years of age which was the time he received the name of a professional Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's critical success was at its peak during the 1970s. His "classic" period started in 1972, with Music of My Mind and Talking Book. The latter featured "Superstition", the most famous and well-known instance of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard sound. The Grammy Award for Album of the years was won by Innervisions (1973) The Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974) and Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974), as well as Songs in the Key of Life (1976). He is tied for third with the most Album of the YEAR wins. Wonder is the only artist to have won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for three consecutive albums. Wonder started his "commercial period" in the 1980s. he achieved his biggest songs and the highest levels of recognition, and had an increase in sales of albums, charitable participation as well as high-profile collaborations
