Singer and actress and song writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the cast in One Tree Hill as Alex in its final three seasons. Kramer was in numerous episodes as a new country music artist. This helped her album to reach the Billboard 200 Top 20. Thirty One, her follow-up album released in 2015, made it to into the Top Ten. She finished out the decade by appearing on Dancing with the Stars and appearing in a variety of TV shows alongside several singles from her non-album album. Growing up in Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer grew up on country music and would eventually be pursuing a recording career. However, she made her debut acting as an actress, who made her screen debut in the 2002 indie horror film Dead/Undead as she was in her teen years. Her appearances were in guest spots for All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights during the second season of the series 2007-2008. Kramer would go on to portray Portia Ranson in 90210 (2008-2009) and Brooke Manning, in Entourage (2009) prior to when she was offered the role of One Tree Hill by the CW as Alex Dupre. Kramer remained with the One Tree Hill team until the halfway point of its last season (2012). Jana Kramer Kramer, during her tenure as Alex Dupre, on One Tree Hill signed with Elektra Records. She debuted contemporary country song I Won't give up in a 2011 One Tree Hill episode. It later appeared as a track on Jana Kramer, her debut album that debuted in 2012. The song made it to in the Top Five on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. In the meantime, she focused on her musical career, she was still acting, and she appeared in films like Heart of the Country 2013 (which appealed to her fans) as well as Country Crush 2016 (which would appeal her music fans). The album was released in October 2015. Kramer dropped her debut album thirty One from Warner Music Nashville. Her album, Thirty One was the Top Five Country Hit I Got the Boy as well as her duo track that Steven Tyler and Aerosmith performed with helped it to reach third place in the Billboard 200 and number 10 on the charts for country albums. The two-month stint on Dancing with the Stars 23rd edition ended with her finishing in fourth place. Also, she scored an adult contemporary smash in the form of Feels like Christmas which featured Straight No Chaser.
