Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She made her debut on the huge screen on Sex Traffic by Channel 4 and won the British Academy Television Award was given for the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are all spoken fluently. Her father is a theatre instructor at one of Romania's top drama schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as the 'European Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. The film was awarded several awards, including the European Film Award Best Actress from the British Film Critics. In 2007, she was in as a character in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks 3 Weeks, 2 days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film received two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). In addition, she appeared on The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She appeared in 2008 as Yasim of Angwar in the BBC five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca was a character in Yasim's story as part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, and also in the Romanian film Boogie. She appeared as Irma in Fury 2014 in which she portrayed an German named aunt to Emma.
