Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her professional debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd became more confident after her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell by the start of the round. Then she returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was able to hand Aspen a unanimous defeat and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in the year 2015, when she signed to Invicta FC. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by first-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to beat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd did not have enough weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She finished her with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO in second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was her first fight that she had in any major capacity. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision and her Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and end Ladd and her winning streak. After a short break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a replacement last minute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
